Design-Build is a project delivery method in which one entity typically the contractor develops the design and builds the project. Design-Build projects have several advantages over the standard design-bid-build. These include dealing with a single source of accountability, the design is implemented per budget and the project duration can be shortened. For a Design-Build project to be successful the contractor needs to have strong core design competencies.
